I have a yellow lab names Sadie. Just her. I would love more but i already put in so much time with sadie and its been quite rewarding. I dont think i could commit to another pet right now. Sadie is wonderful. I completely trained her myself and feel quite confident she could stand up with those dogs that have went to professional obeidiance classes. So needless to say, im quite proud of her. People we meet with dogs always ask where i had her trained. they dont believe that its just me. I actually am considering a career change into dog training.

I was born in Stockton, Ca and moved to Sonora, then To Grass Valley, to Sacramento. I have lived in Sacramento since 1997. I love it here, besides the traffic its a pretty nice place to work, play, and live.

I Heard about Sacpaws from my girlfriend. i used it before but never logged on again and forgot the account name. So i opened this one. I think someone at work told my girlfriend about it. I rarely chat or use these types of sites. ive had a myspace account for years and friends say i never respond to them. I Get into these things then lose intrest. but usually will come back off and on.

The user name is Sadie and her middle and last name initials. I named her Sadie, and somehow we ended up calling her Sadie Sue. She has lots of name. My GF calls her Sadle Buckets. i asked her why and she said i dont know, then laughed and said, cause shes buckets of joy.
My last name is Ward, so Sadie Sue Ward-SadieSW, Real Original username Huh...lol

1. Tell us about your pets! How many do you have?  We have two dogs (Shasta and Forrest), one kattan* (Butterscotch) and a bunch of fishes.
2. Where are you from? I'm from the Sacramento area and my wife is from South Lake Tahoe.  All of our pets are from Tahoe, and came to us either via friends, shelter, or family.
3. How did you hear about SacPaws.com? I came upon it via sacbee.com
4. How did you pick your username?  It is kind of a joke with my wife and I that we must love dog hair because there is so much in our house and car.  So doghairlovah seemed appropriate .

Hi, we live in Sacramento, Barkley, Marty and myself are all born here and my husband is from Colorado.  Barkley is a 4yr old black lab and Marty is a 3 yr old retriever and basset mix.  My husband and I are both animal lovers and our two boys are like our children. We also have human children and grandchildren, and we all are just one big happy family.  My son has Barkley's birth parents, Paddington and Gracie, But we are waiting until Barkley gets alittle older to tell him he is adopted. We are not sure who Marty's birth parents are and we have not told him yet either. Anyway we think our boys are very special and so very smart. Oh yeah they are also quite handsome too...............!

Dusty our 8yr old beagle lives a great life lounging on 2 large pillow beds, 1 in the mstr bedroom and the other in the living room. She can tell time. At 6:30am she patiently sits on the side of her parent's bed waiting for her mom or dad to wake up and take her out for her morning walk then a breakfast treat. At 5pm she bays/howls & scratches the back door to let her human brothers know that its dinner time and finally at 9:45pm with her nose on the front door, she waits patiently for someone to take her out for her evening walk before heading to bed.  Oh and on Mondays and Thursday, Dusty is my personal administrator when I work from home. She sits in her "admin" chair at her computer table and let's me know when the phone rings and she barks at the neighbors when they interrupt my conference call meetings.  Wednesdays, Dusty get her weekly car ride to Aunty Iva's house to play and visit with her "cousins" Bear (10yr old chow mix) and Buddy (yellow lab pup). Dusty is my little "duh-duh".

I've heard of SacPaws thru various festivals and the Sac Bee news paper.

Moved to the Sacramento area 10 yrs ago with Akamai, my border collie/retriever mix due to a job transfer. Akamai since passed away 2yrs ago at 13yrs old.

Akamai means smart in Hawaiian. U-So "Akamai" 

I've always loved having a dog. Akamai was the best dog I've ever had and of course I love my Dusty too.

I am the lucky parent of Rocky who is a German Shepard/Pit Mix.  Rocky is about 1 1/2 years old and my fiance and I adopoted him from the Sacramento SPCA January 10th, 2008

I have a cat named Miso, who is a wise old soul.

2. Where are you from?

I am from the Bay Area - a native Californian (I'm thinking we're a rare breed!).

I found the website in the Sac Bee.

Miso has a big belly, which my son calls a "buddha belly" - so it's a silly tribute to him.

We have 1 dog Rufus a standard poodle and 2 Ragdoll cats, Sammy and Jasmine.

Hello Sawpawers,
We adopted our puppy mix in March 2009 and she is now 6 months and getting very big.

Her name is Belle and she is a german shepherd/ chow chow mix and very cute and lovable. She is a spoiled puppy and very loved. I would love to meet other people who have the same mix or even large breed dogs and play groups.
